    picked up a female ruby head wrasse so fruit loop now has a gf + a mccosker's flasher wrasse. the male + female ruby wrasses are bff. the mccosker wrasse is super skittish + went into hiding as soon as i put him in the tank. hopefully, he warms up to his new enviro. i'll try to get pictures...

    apparently we suck at keeping fish... we lost the yellow tang + punk rock (carpenter flasher wrasse) w/ the recent heat wave. the fans + frozen water bottles weren't enough. brad installed an AC unit so we don't lose any more livestock. :(

    Overflow problems

    Spa Flex has a smooth interior surface and shouldn't trap air as long as its a straight run down to the sump. There would only be air in the spa flex if the pipe was making up and down bends.

    just finished pulling all the LR out. sand is next to go. we're dismantling the 15g since we've got the 50g all setup now + making it our quarantine/frag tank. so long nano reefing! we're moving onto bigger + better things... :)

    casualties... brad went out + picked up 1 of the 9 blue spot jawfish barrier got in recently from their trip down to so.cal. we named him DORITO. he was a busy little fish digging burrows all over the place, but one day he we didn't see him and had assumed he was digging burrows in the back...

    MAJOR DISASTER! last night brad accidentally bumped the phosphate reactor, which splashed the vortech controller. that little splash fried the controller's little bits! :( brad tried everything to get it back up and running, but ended up ordering a new one last night. hopefully, it'll start...
