    ATTN: Mr. Calfo

Completely understandable. I'm just winding down from election season, and already gearing up for the next cycle. Always have something on the plate, you know? But I'd definitely like to volunteer any and all help you could use, as I love experience and resume building. I don't think...

    worm

Definitely answers questions as to why my crab passed away. Haven't seen any bristleworms, so who knows. This is such a learning hobby :D

    power out

we had it flicker up here, but nothing for an extended period, thankfully. It's that time of year to worry, though.

    worm

anyone? I haven't seen it around lately, but I don't like it being in there. And my horseshoe crab turned up dead this morning, though I have no idea if they're connected or not.

    Thank You Reef Mystique

Where you at in Bellingham? I'd love meeting up with some reefers around the area and chatting it up on tank design. I'm just a poor college kid, so I need to get some ideas and thoughts before I go too far into this world of water.

    worm

it's white-ish, very long, very slender, and looks as if there's a bunch of small donut-like rings all connected together in a strand

    ATTN: Mr. Calfo

Well, I'm a college student and free help often turns to resume material and experience. Just because money is involved doesn't meant there isn't some sort of benefit. Either way, I understand your position. I can tell you that I do know a lot of people involved in publishing very well and I...

    worm

So I found a worm in my tank last night. Looked to be about 4-5 inches long, very thin, and it was wandering around my flowerpot. I assume it was snacking, but when I went to pull it off, it shot away insanely fast. Should I be deeply concerned at this point? I don't really know a way to get...

Excellent to hear. Unfortunately, I understand that side of the trade as well. I've messed around in writing some, and it isn't an easy life (Go writers guild!). If you're ever considering looking for an outside opinion on writing, I've done years of editing and have worked on a couple...

    Macnaxx

Though I'm not a member of PSAS yet, I can offer my experience. I've worked extensively on planning the Skagit County Highland Games for about 10 years, and have put on a slew of other activities as well. I am definitely dedicated to setting up and designing functions of this nature.

    i want an eel

I love my snowflake. He's such a beat... about 13 inches right now. Feed him a ton, too. The banded eats a ton as well, but he's a little smaller. No real problems with fish being eaten, I don't think. However, I did have a bicolor dotty dissapear awhile back, which may have been them...

    online order

I was thinking about doing an online order from vivid aquariums at some point (www.vividaquarium.com) but I haven't gotten around to it. I'm also up in Bellingham...

Let's start slowly talking about my dreams.

now now now, I'm still in college. this is just my dream plan. who knows, though, maybe some day. for now, I hope to start a coral farm

Let's start slowly talking about my dreams.

First, my super dream tank. I concocted this rough sketch while bored and talking fish with a friend. This is pretty darn pipe dream, which I'm sure you'll enjoy. However, more in the realm of my possibilities is a coral farm in the next few years. I currently have 6 tanks total, 1 of...

    ATTN: Mr. Calfo

Hello sir. This isn't really the best forum for this discussion, but I saw you posted in here regularly and figured it'd be the easiest way to get your attention. I just picked up your reef invertebrates book, which I'm very much enjoying so far. In the very start of it, you make mention that...

    i want an eel

Many resources I've read seem to indicate that eels can make a remarkable recovery after being on dry land for a bit of time. Certainly when mine jumped, I got him back in in a matter of seconds, but I've never ran into him moving any rocks or causing problems as of yet. The two like to dig...

    good fish book?

There are quite a few very in depth books on invertibrates, but I've not found any on fish taxonomy, care, locations in the wild, etc. I want something that is textbook in nature. any suggestions?

    goniopora (flowerpot)

it's looking good for health. I'm mainly wondering if anyone had ever seen anything like the inflating it did yesterday. It puffed up so large it looked like a soft brain coral. the tendrils were hardly visible, just tiny nubs on the body.

    octopus..

astroturf works, as well, for keeping octopi from climbing out of tanks. their suckers can't attach to the blades of the 'grass' or velcro. I wouldn't expect this to work with eels.
