    Baby Clowns

Finally!!! I had given up hope that my clownfish would host my anenome. We were in Vegas last weekend and when we got home, there he was, swimming around the two (they had split) RBTAs. Maybe he was just waiting for a bigger house to move in to. Thank goodness for the "positive" things that go...

    Dead fish....

One of my fish must've died overnight and my britte star had him all wrapped up in the back of the tank, so I thought he was taking care of the remains. I just looked and the deceased is laying in the back where I can't reach him. He's about the size of a silver dollar. Will the crabs take...

    Hello there...any help?

Deshoyt, I started out just like you did. Hooked up with a lFS that was a complete a$$ and I fell for all of it. 6 months later, I have learned MANY lessons. I have had my share of trial and error. I learned to read, read, read and ask, ask, ask. It will get better.........

    Christmas trees near the tank....

I know it's a little early but is the "fragrance" from a live xmas tree, harmful to the tank occupants???? It would be about 4 ft from the tank.

    Shrimp Compatibility

I have both in my tank and have no issues. I also have cleaner shrimp and a coral banded shrimp. If I could remove any of them, it would be the coral banded, he's a sneaky, grabby, little fugga.

    Another "ichy" situation....help...

My powder brown tang has ich and is obviously miserable, hanging out in front of power heads, scratchin on rocks and sand. I tried all day yesterday to get him out but failed. My fish were stressed so I gave up. I have a foxface, a coral beauty, 3 bangai cardinals a clownfish and two...

    Does Green Bubble look ok?

Mine looks like that too but they should really bubble up. I have moved mine to every area of the tank and it has never looked like a true "bubbler". I have it in the middle of the tank now and am just leaving it alone. If you look at pictures of others here that have bubblers, they look great...

    10k vs 14k Metal Halide?

I went from 10K to 15K. If I understand it correctly, coals grow slower under the 15K lighting but I like the look of the tank better with the 15K's. Not as harsh white as with the 10k's and the corals look prettier under 15k.

    Is this an anenome?

Looks like aiptasia, which is like a "weed" for your tank. They will spread like crazy. Don't pull it out as it will spread like wildfire. There are different ways of getting rid of them. I use Blu Vet aiptasia control, squirt it on them and they die.

    Anemone question

Did they "shop" for shoes???? JK :p:p:p
  18. pitmam01

    I have decided!

I always seem to get a few aptasia's in places I can't reach!! They stick up just far enough to drive me nuts. I finally have a peppermint shrimp (after going through 7 others) that has survived and is taking care of the aptasia. Get a few big fat ones!!!

    need help with zoas

I always find that it's a hit and miss, depending on where you got them. I acclimate them by drip then stick em in the tank. Usually I have great luck but sometimes you get a frag that just doesn't make it. Don't clean it off, just let it take care of itself.
