    Is this an anenome?

As stated in my post...it worked for me...although I believe 100% that I was aptasia free as I never saw one for about 2 months and then one popped up a week after a put a couple of frags in the tank. Since treating the one I have not seen another. Although I only have a 30 gal tank...

    Is this an anenome?

I had a little clear aptasia start and what I did was boil water on the stove and then took a syringe, filled it and then squirted it right on the aptasia at close quarters. It retracted pretty fast and I expended the rest of the hot water in its hole. It came back out and we didn't think it...

Anyone help me identify this critter?

I don't doubt that its an anemone now...but it doesn't seem to be to intrusive like some other species of aiptasia I have seen. For instance, MY BUDDY Wayne, has aiptasia popping up weekly in different places. This guy is the only guy that I have been able to find. Nothing else similar is...

Be careful there wayne...would hate to let it out that your BREEDING aiptasia, SUPER RARRRRRRRE Aiptasia eating sea spiders and by the sounds of it Berghia Nudibranchs. If I didn't know any better it would sound like an evolutionary food chain your trying to establish...not trying to play god...

Anyone help me identify this critter?

In all actuality as long as it doesn't get bigger or spread...I'll think we'll leave it just the way it is...doesn't do anything but give character lol. Thanks for the info to all that participated.

    Frogspawn and Hammer coral

I have a question...I have a 29 gal aquapod that has a frogspawn and hammer coral in it. We have them at opposite ends of the tank and they are pretty much on their own in regards to space around them. My question is will they only grow to the size of the tank? We have had them for about 2...

Anyone help me identify this critter?

Except its attached to the rock....I mean fast as in it sucks in sometimes into the rock but then gradually comes out. It hasn't moved from the same spot on the rock in 3 months since we first noticed it.

    Mandarin

Nope...he nosed around for the first week we got him and then at the end of the week...he was munching away. We've had him for about 2 months now...so I know he's not starving away. My frag tank I've noticed has become a nursery for copepods lately so sometimes what I do is take a turkey...

    Mandarin

This is Toby - not only does he eat copepods, but he also eats brine shrimp, mitosis shrimp, and I have seen him munch on squid. He doesn't like flake food though.

Anyone help me identify this critter?

He doesn't do anything bad...just sort of hangs out there. We got him as a hitchiker when we were first setting up the tank.

One week after set up and tank done cycling????

After 2.5 months... Well its been 2 and a half months. Mostly good things have happened...couple of bad things which is to be expected. My wife bought a toadstool and it did great then developed some sort of spot that started to eat a hole in it...after a week it was a lost caused. Luckily I...

dont know what im doing wrong.....

I agree...I had a large kenya tree in our 29 gal aquapod. It had actually branched off some frags which took hold on some of the rocks. Anyhow, my wife introduced a medium size toadstool and the large kenya tree when staight to a lump of semi dead kenya tree. I have sinced pulled it and...
