What salt mix are SPS-ers here using?

I haven't personally used Reef Crystals due to the reported levels which are 490, 13, 1440 respectively. I think if you look around on this forum you will find others reporting nearly the same.

What salt mix are SPS-ers here using?

Personally I haven't had any experience with it, so I can't really give an honest review. That being said, I've known a few people using it with successful results, but on the other hand you'll also find people who swear it's just more snake oil. Personally, I'd rather watch other reefers...

What salt mix are SPS-ers here using?

Personally I like Tropic Marin Pro. I was using IO for many years, and my experience was much like everyone else has posted - "no problems." I never really thought of it, but how would I know if my salt mix was "okay" if I never used anything else. Well, in one of my tanks (a 75 SPS...

    loss of water?

A very easy and cost effective DIY top off is a reservoir (any food grade plastic container - and should hold at least a couple gallons), some airline tubing, and a gang valve. I've used one on a 75g system for a long time and it keeps my salinity very stable. Basically keep RO/DI water in the...

    Konica Minolta Dimage A2

Hello I was wondering if anyone has ever used a Konica Minolta Dimage A2? I know they're not in production any longer, but I have one and am trying to find some pointers on using it. I've read through several threads and used some of the pointers, but not much luck so far. Thanks!

    Uncommon Algae Growth

Again, pics will help the most. Try your best to get a macro shot, and from different angles. I've seen all sorts of brown algae. Also, you can't rule out a diatom bloom either...have you added any new plastics to your tank recently? A frag rack, new pump, etc?

    Fish in sump

As previously stated, it may not be best to have one in your sump...mainly the refugium. You don't want anything eating up the pods you're breeding in the fuge. Also, I can only imagine the 3 compartments aren't very large themselves...probably not too many fish you could safely house there...

    loss of water?

I once had a 20g nano w/ 10g sump that evaporated 1.5-2g/day!!! The lighting rig caused a lot of excess heat, so I had fans into and out of the canopy to reduce heat, but increased evaporation. The first week or two I went nuts trying to find the leak...only to find a dry floor etc. I was...

    Birdsnest issues

Definitely frag those tips hope for the best. That colony is severely affected. Did this happen rapidly or slowly over a few weeks?
