    i have never had an issue and have been using it for over 10 years. i buy the plain roasted type. there is no additives in those as they are just roasted. its the same stuff you buy at the fish store and pay what 10 bucks for 10 small pieces. All my fish eat it and I go thru a half sheet each day.

    i buy 50-100 bulk packs at the asian market for like 8 bucks. just get the plain type and you are set. been using it for years.

    Can anyone identify this Algae?

    kinda blurry but looks like feather caluerpa or razor caluerpa. Its a good algae but can over take if not being eaten by tangs. I would suggest it go in the refugium and not in the main display other than for feeding.

    i only use mine (coralife125? ) to dose my ozone through it. it produces some nasty nog with the ozone running thru it though. my other skimmer is an eshopps 200 and am looking to upgrade that one in the future but for now its holding its own.

    my market asks me too and looks at me funny when i say I am feeding my fish. also check albertsons or top foods for smelt as they have it in from time to time. I used to order a 5lb brick of squid from albertsons for like 12 bucks. i used that to feed my lion and large spotted grouper.

    I have been using the seafood mix from the asian markets for years to mAke all my fish food. I have never had issues. I also in the past have used smelt. This is just my experience so yours might differ

    thats funny. I use a pvc pipe that lays across the tank and another that hangs from it that I use a rubberband to hold nori to the pvc. drilled a couple holes to let water thru and another hole at the top to use a zip tie to slide it on the other pvc. very easy to use and no fishing for the...

    i use the plain nori sheets from the local asian market. package of 100 large sheets cost 8 bucks. Been using them for years, my tanks will eat 1/2 a sheet in about 10 minute. I only have a purple tang and a red sea sailfin.
