    heard it here in oly and when I ran outside could hear not see 2 jets moving so at first I assumed it was them then read on the news it was. hadnt heard that in a while but never that loud. they must have been really low. scared the crap out of the kids and me.

    I am not trying to start a pissing match. Just stating experience since I have been doing this for 15 plus years. like I stated before and so has others the reeflo pumps I have had have all be super quiet.

    i still think somethings wrong. I myself have mine in my stand in my living room but it also is sitting on some foam to PREVENT vibration. but if installed correctly and level it still should not be loud. not saying its installed wrong I am just saying.

    yea. might want to check yours out. mine runs so quiet that i had to touch it to see if it was running. I have never heard of a reeflo running loud unless theres something going bad or something in it.

    i use a reeflo hammerhead on my 150 reef. 2x2" drains and feeds 8 x 3/4" returns thru an ocean motion 8 way valve. super quiet and i cannot hear it run. my coralife 1740 pump is the noise maker. def go with a reeflo pump.

    yes true. but the mighty magnets are all velcor backed for easy felt and pad replacement. plus they are stronger and smaller. Also they are made in oregon. no wood. all plastic encased. they come with a storage case and the pad replacements are cheap.

    try the mighty magnets. they are way more superior than the hammerheads etc, plus they offer floating ones. i have been sold on them and will never go back to the others. these are in my opinion the best out there for the price. i use an F2 on my 1/2" acrylic tank and is great. here is the link...

    walmart sells autofeeders for 12 bucks. i use them when i need to. also use the ocean nutrition soft pellets formula 1 and 2.

    I reomve it as I dont like to see my magnet cleaner in the tank. plus it keeps the kids from using it.

    yep your right. I am just lazy on that part as I hate taking my reactor apart. so I was going to do it at the same time. Yes I do believe it was 1 to 8. thanks for the info
