    I remember reading about this being done to grow phytoplankton somewhere. So far I have not had any issues and I am GFCI protected, but you are probably right. If it ever did break for any reason, no matter how unlikley, I would have mecury posioning of my entire system I suspect.

    lol, I have had a similar talk with my Goby and shrimp but to no avail. If they do have a realtionship, they are definetly keeping it in the closest. I hadn't even suspected that they might already have a relationship. I will try to encourage them to come out into the open.

    I was wondering if there is much of a demand for muriatic (hydriochloric) acid? I have an opportunity to get 100+ gallons for free. Is it worth my time? Anyone willing to buy it off me FOB Bellingham? I do use it for cleaning my aquarium equipment and nothing beats it.

    lol, THe gas tanks actually worked perfect to get my latest mud refugium to the perfect elevation. I am now thinking that perhaps I could plumb in these tanks (they have never been used) and make a 3 stage refugium.... I am out of control.

    Kalk reactor as top-off?

    You can see the blue tote to the right, the white tubing running to the left, a rusty c-clamp squeeze valve, and tube going into my refugium. High tech I know, but I can see the difference already in my corals. Some that I thought were dead even came back to life.
