    Krish's Bahamian Photo log

"Insert Queen music here" I want to be free......I want to be Freeee. LOL the anemone was trying to tell you something. I guess it didn't want to live in the lap of luxury. ;)

    Ok, thanks Nick.

    Lava rock

I just wanted to ask if you could use lava rock for landscaping and aquarium epoxy to build rocks to use in your system. Make the shapes you want then seed it with some good live rock. Thanks in advance.

    Question about rock

I am going to be doing a 90gal. soon and wanted to know if I can use limestone as a base for my reef? I want to fill the tank with the limestone and then seed it in areas with high quality live rock. If I cannot use limestone, is there any other rock that I could use for this instead of buying...

    Would this be enough light

The reflector is no problem. I have a brother that is a machinist and can make me a polished aluminum set of reflectors for free. I was just asking though because I saw it and wanted to ask :) I know on here is a good place to get the help a person needs.

    Would this be enough light

I am looking at this setup http://cgi.ebay.com/250-W-DUAL-METAL-HALIDE-PS-aquarium-Sunlight-Supply_W0QQitemZ7768788700QQihZ018QQcategoryZ46314QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem Do you think it would be worth getting?

    Would this be enough light

I just want to ask if dual 175 watt MH would be enough light over a 90 gal. I want to be able to keep just about anything, mostly I want to be able keep clams. I think the tank is 24" deep, I believe it is a standard 90. I don't have the tank yet so I am looking for the light info. Thanks.

    Lighting help please

Cool thanks everyone. Do you all think I would be fine with just MH or should I add some T5's for supplement? I don't want the tank to be too blue.

    Lighting help please

I am going to be setting up a 90gal. soon and would like to know what kind of lighting I should put on it. I want to be able to keep any soft, lps and some sps corals as well as a clam or 3 in said tank. I was thinking that a 400watt MH with a 15k would be enough but I am not sure. Input would...

    Fish keep changing color

Your guess is as good as mine. Of course I am and have been religious with my water changes, and my skimmer was going to town with lots of dark frothy goodness. I am just glad that it is all figured out and I can start the process of getting my fish back to normal color. Poor little guys and...

    Fish keep changing color

Well I am such a dork. I found out the problem today. I was doing a full clean on my system and I noticed my water looked a little bluer than normal. I took some water out of the tank and I'll be darned, it looked blue. I was thinking really hard what could have been doing it and my little girl...

    Fish keep changing color

The water temp is solid at 79. The fish are happy and comfortable with each other and my family, actually anybody that comes around the tank the fish are fine. My light spectrum is Ushio 14k. The same light on different tanks doesn't change the fish to the dull grey/blue that my fish turn too.

    Fish keep changing color

I hope I am in the right area for this question. My tank has a real bad problem of changing the color of any fish I put into it. No matter what the fish's original color is, when I add it to my tank in a few weeks the color will change to a dull greyish blue. I have added many types of damsels...
