    Hyposalinity Questions

You should put nothing in the bucket but the water. Fish may panicic a little in the Hypo water and you dont want them injuring them selves during treatment. The water should be about the same temp. Keep an eye on the fish anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. The purpose of the Hypo...

    Finally! Gina's (NanoReefer411's) 180+tank upgrade! =)

I would get a power head and blow the rocks out and stir up you sand bed a couple of times. I would use some type of filter media pads to remove the bigger stuff and keep the skimmer cleanning out the small stuff. Some water changes would not hurt, but you really need to remove the detritus...

    How to catch a fish...

If they host a anomone you can pick it up with a net under it when they are in it sleeping. I have had luck with suprising them when the lights come on and they can not see. Try a big net at feeding time, put the net in a little early and when you feed scoop them out. Use there aggression to...

    Blue Hippo tang with HLLE

Also one quick note, sometimes Tang's will get "marked" up from sleeping. They wedge themselves into rocks at night to sleep. This keeps them from drifting off and safer from predators. I did not really notice anything when I was over picking up those fine corals from you. I could stop by...

Best Black Silicone for Re-Sealing a Tank

All so All Glass Aquarium carries a black silicon. IMO I would just cut away the old silicon out without separating the glass. Just cut to the glass and leave the seam in place. Then tape it off and lay in the new bead. If it has separated I usually squish some into the separation, let it dry...

Looking for someone to drill my 50b

Don't be scared. Practice a little before you start. Find a position that is going to be comfortable to be in for maybe 20 to 45 minutes. You can you a cordless drill, put it on "drill speed" Start the bit at a angle to get it started, not a lot of angle but enough to start a cut. As this...

Solana 34 "burps" when I power off the return pump

When you turn the pump off the water that is in the lines will suck air back with it as it returns to the sump. This is normal. Just as when you turn the pump back on thi air in the lines rush out before the water exits the pipe. :)

    Swifty's 265 gal

Matt, I have some of those big gallon glass or plastic pickle jars I am using for culturing. You could use one to make a trap with if you think it is big enough. I have seen those guys move their legs so fast it looks like they can swim like a fish. Need a small hole to crawl into and not be...

    hypo with anemone??

You can always feed Anemones small chucks of fish and shrimp. As far as hosting that is so "Nemo". I have had some clowns totally ignore the Anemone until one day it got into a power head and immediately both fish raced to it aide and started to tent to the injury. Did not leave it after...

    hypo with anemone??

I have done this to get the Anemone off a rock when the person wanted the BF rock back. LOL Usually works if you have not been messing with it, I think it just thinks the tide is going out and does not want to be left high and dry... If the rock came from a good tank there should be nothing...
