    I picked up some rubble from someone and it came with 2 (that i know of) small things. my camera is out of juice and i can't find the charger, but it is black, normally there is a white strip running length wise down it. if one touches it, the white stripe get covered by its "skin" it doesn't...

    When i was at (HD or Lowes) i did find a 1/2" diamond bit for glass. have you thought about getting a couple 10 or 20 gal tanks for cheap and connecting them? .5 inch would be fine for that small of a tank. just use silicone or reef safe putty/epoxy.     Can anyone ID this critter?

    I don't know if it hurts them or not. I think it is a defensive mechanization, similar to a lizard losing its tail. it sometimes it comes off just moving it nicely. the tail also wiggles after it comes off.

    Natural Light?

    i've been to atlantic sea farm and almost all of his stuff uses only natural light.... w/ all the snails in there (and probably good filtration) i didn't see any algae... he grew phyto in one tub/vat.

    CO2 Scrubber?

    have you tried growing more cheato to use up the CO2? i get the daylight 100W replacement CFLs (26W) and made a super simple "fixture" with a cheap ceramic thing-gee that one can buy, a milk jug, some solar emergency blanket, and hot glue
