Hmmm...is this a good idea or what???

Is the 180 going in the same spot as the 125? If not, you could tear down the 125 in place and build the 180 in place. That way you are only moving things once. If they are, you could drain just enough water to move the 125 out to the middle of the room and setup the 180. I am lazy and...

    Red Algae

I have red fuzzy algae in mine. Turbo snails are the only thing I found that will eat it. I added a few and now I only have a little left in the sump and hard to reach places.

    low light spreading coral

How about GSP? I think saltwater city has (or has had it in the past) it growing on the back of a tank and it's cool looking. I don't think it needs a lot of light either.

    Spring Sale 2010

Yes, it was an excellent experience on Friday. It was my first BRA sale, I heard about how crazy they were and didn’t want to deal with that. Please do this in the future and I’ll be back… :)

    Disposin broken aquarium.

We can't put broken glass in recycling. I'd put the pieces in a bag and the garbage.

    question re: phosphate reactor flow

what are you running in it? I run GFO in mine and don't have much flow through it. For GFO, you only want to have the very top of it move a little, but that's it. Like it's boiling.

    New LED's released

I don't know either. There is a build thread on another site where a guy is using them (the Par38 lights). It will be interesting to see how well they perform.

I noticed them at Lowes last weekend. They were like $40-$50 if I remember correctly. I think they only had warm white.

Help, can't keep the dkh up

Have you checked your magnesium? I bet it’s low. I had similar issues and found out that my mag was low. Also, you should do more frequent water changes to keep it in check. Every other month is too far apart.

    Flatworm infestation

+1 on not doing it. I had a flatworm outbreak and was able to overcome them by removing a bunch of them durring water changes and reduce feeding. I now have a sixline wrasse and never see flatworms. :)

This is going to be my 1st ever saltwater tank!

Welcome to Reef Frontiers. You will get some good info here. It sounds like you got a decent system to start. Do tons of research before you buy anything more. Especially on your light, it may not be good enough for what you want to do with the system. What is your plan with the tank? My...

What would you do to Fix this??

Barrier Reef has had them recently. If they don't have any, they might be able to order you some.

What would you do to Fix this??

I use kalk in a syringe to zap em and it usually floats down. Perhaps, turn off your pump and try to float it down on top of them. I would give that a try. Or even add a bunch of Kalk and swirl the water in there, I doubt they could live with that much calcium in the water. Just let it...
