ID assistance needed (weird worm looking thing)

So . . . these have started spreading quite well as of late. They're hard, don't move around . . . and appear to MAYBE have a tiny little bit of something that sticks out the end. There's tons of them, and they're starting to grow everywhere. I haven't noticed any detrimental affects, just...

    Mystery algae ID requested

Thanks all for your input, it helped reinforce my suspicion (that it was nothing to be concerned about).

    Mystery algae ID requested

Holy crap. Yeah, I've had maybe three of these things show up . . . the way it would seem is if you start having a problem, start scaling back on calcium, and they should begin slowing down (of course, alongside all of your coral as well).

Thanks Steve! Any ideas on it's suitability?

    Mystery algae ID requested

Yeah, we recently grown a rater lush crop of Halimeda around our sea mat as well. It's pretty . . . not too terrible, and yes calcareous. If nothing else, it speaks to the calcium bounty in our tank. :)

    Mystery algae ID requested

This is definitely a new one to me. Looks like a worm of some sort, but then is so green, I have to assume algae. Anyone?

    Let's Talk About ~Snails~

I've also had problems with turbo snails falling on their back and dying. I made the mistake of thinking the hermits were killing them off . . . look in the tank and find two or three hermits prying the flap open on a turbo . . . so we got rid of all the crabs . . . snails kept dying. I recall...

Freshwater: Big tinfoil barbs free to good home

Hmm . . . . I MIGHT be up for that. We have two tinfoil barbs, slightly bigger than yours . . . . they're currently in a 155gal tank. We were considering trying to find homes for them . . . but instead we just bought another big tank to start our reef in. :) I'll get back to you. :)

    green hair algae going crazy

Do you have an ample cleaner crew? Where is all the detritus from your fish going?

    green hair algae going crazy

What are your phosphate readings? What is your main source of nutrient export? How old are your lights? Do you have a cleaner crew, or something to further breakdown detritus? What is your flow like in your tank? Are you using RO/DI water for your water changes? Have you recently added...

    Coral Banded Shrimp predating clowns?

LOL . . . no you certainly didn't ruin his deal John. :) The first thing I considered was that maybe the clown was unhealthy. However, I find this pretty unlikely as both clowns have been exceptionally healthy for a very long time. I suppose it's possible, however. My other beef with...
