    Multiple Rabbitfish??

Lee, thank you! Neither Rabbitfish has ever shown any aggressive nature at all and the Foxface gets beat up, about once every 6 months, by a Tomini Tang...lol. I do have a back up plan. Actually, the Magnificent Rabbit is currently in a 100 gallon stock tank with a bunch of live rock and a...

    Multiple Rabbitfish??

Lee, I need some advice... I have a 200 Deep Dimension that has a One Spot Foxface in it, that's been in the tank for about 2 years. Awhile back, I "adopted" a 75 that had a Magnificent Rabbitfish in it. I'm tearing down the 75. What are the chances that the two Rabbitfish will get alone...

New to the are of SW Aquarium

When designing your sump, you'll need to have an idea of what skimmer you'll end up with, for a couple of reasons. 1. Footprint of skimmer will determine the size of the skimmer section of sump. 2. This is important...each skimmer works "best" in a specific depth of water. Some skimmers work...

whats this called just got yesterday..

Difficult to tell from the photo, but possibly Hydnophora. If so, keep it FAR away from other corals as it will EAT them. Can you get a photo with the polyps retracted? Hydnophora has a very distinctive coralite shape that's easy to identify when the polyps are retracted.

    Sad Times

Just as a quick update...I'm still quite upset about this! However, I do understand and if there's anything at all that I can do to help, just let me know and I'll be on my way over :plane: though it won't be by plane...

    Red Bugs!!!

You'll need to get a prescription, from a vet, which will cost you an "office visit." The pills themselves, will cost $6-8 each. One "large dog" sized pill will treat 380 gallons. Yes, it will likely kill all of your shrimp, though your pistol shrimp may survive. I've had mixed results with...

    Cardinals just hide

Cardinals are also naturally more of a low light fish. Look at how large their eyes are. That's a natural indication that they are natural more active during lower light periods. If your tank is too bright, they'll be more likely to seek out dim areas.

    Are pump manufacturers dishonest?

I'm afraid your test is a bit faulty. So many things need to be taken into account, such as head loss, output hose size, output hose material, friction loss, due to output hose, etc. A pump may 'move' 300 GPH but that doesn't necessarily mean it will 'pump' 300 gph.
