    I dk about closed loop too much. but i like the vortex cause if i dont like the way the flow is i can add another power head. or just move them around till i find a spot where i like it. Im sure that someone here knows about closed looped systems.

    well u can kind of aim it but not really. there is no wire but on the out side of the tank.

    the fan is there so when i have both 250 hqi it dosnt heat up the water too much. and the big round thind is the votex power head.

    On my tank I did a corner overflow. And a herbie pipe. It's super quiet. If u look up help with 40b thred ull find it. When I get home. Il post more info for help.

    Yup I would go with those. But like I said before. U can bulid your own overflow box for a third of yh price.

    tank is doind ok. I was haveing some issues with the temp. it was cause the heaters wernt turning on when they were supposed too. so i bought a new one. I am having some algee issues. I think its cause of the bulbs. but other then that its going good. water param are good. I cant wait for this...

    It is really easy to drill the tank. The hardest part is starting the hole. And as far as a return pump. Anything that is 300-500gph would work fine. My buddy gave me a quiet one pump and it works great.
