    Stagnant Saltwater Bad??

There are a hundred variables that can affect your saltwater when sitting. Did you put a powerhead in the sump to keep it aerated or at least keep it mixing?

Hey Kevin I finaly got some better pics for you

Hey Kevin here is an update on the progress of my tank. First here are pictures of the coral to date. They are starting to color up a little. The halides are off right now but a person can still get the idea. The brain I think is too close to the light. The shaded parts are getting a deep...

Help! I think I killed it..

I had an 8" RBTA and.. well... it found its way into my Reeflo Dart closed loop pump. Talk about pieces every where. Well after a few weeks I noticed a piece still rolling around on the bottom and it had some color to it so I left it. (mind you this piece is only about 1/2" round) Well now it...

    PVC glue for my plumbing?

This has gone from Glue to Sump... FAST ;) I have "glued and used" my piping many times. When PVC glue hits water it solidifies. Pull out the floating glue and your good to go. Something is toxic for only as long as you leave it in.

    Huge zoo colonies......

Im sorry I should be more specific.. The rock we have is no where near the hardness of what we know as normal rock. If you were to take a small flat blade screwdriver and a small woodworking hammer you can easily separate the rock. It wont destroy the rock just take part of it with the zoas...

The easiest way and the fastest is to break the rock ;)

    I want to buy a RO/DI unit

I bough a unit off of Ebay. Junked the small DI. Called Spectrspure and ordered their Maxcap2 for $100. I have a unit that is 7 stage for a little over $200 TDS.. 0 137 in and 0 out and can push me out 35 gallons over night. Running for 10 months now. I guess what I am trying to say is that...

    Too much VHO lighting?

Any day.. but like I said.. watch your softies. I have noticed that stuff like mushrooms do not like a lot of lighting. What ballast are you going to run your VHO's with?

    Too much VHO lighting?

You can never have too much with VHO's Just watch your softies, they will let you know. My tank is 20" high and I have 3-4' VHO's + 2-250W MH lamps but my softies have to be placed just right in the tank.

    Is this lamp good enough???

Interesting... I don't want to step on Kevins grounds but what reflectors do you use? I think a par of 85 is decent but only with the right reflector. Would like to see what Kevin says.

Making sure my tank setup is ok.

I think what you have there is fine for a few fish. Your on the right track.

    Green clove polyps

Im surprised no one has brought up chemistry. When a person states "water #'s are fine" that is just a small part of the puzzle to water chemistry. Am I wrong??

    Slug Id please

?? odd Oh I remember now. Watch that chemistry when raising MG ;) I havent found much of anything yet that will eat bryopsis. I do have a few of these weird BIG snails that mow it down when they get to it but slow process. Your lettuce nudi will be good at getting those small algeas. Still fun...

    Slug Id please

Magnesium will be your best Friend for bryopsis ;)
