    Clown Eggs Deaths

I agree. Methelene blue was the turning point for me. Before I started using methelene blue, my eggs would fungus over almost every time.

    DIY holes In glass

I use vegetable oil when I drill. I dont use a damn. I just poor a little oil in the area to be drilled, and occaisionally pause the drilling to push the oil back near the hole. I wouldnt use anti-freeze

    SuperGlue usage??

It will also work under water if you use a large enough "glob".. Use a large glob.. on the coral/frag.. as soon as it hits the water it will "skin over" (water acts as a catalyst) creating a "packet of glue". When it makes contact with the rock the "packet" will break and allow you to stick...

    Clown ?

I agree about making it easy and adding another occelaris, and I also agree that that may not be a GBTA at all. Can you get a picture of the underside of the oral disc?

    sump

I like to keep live rock in my sumps (un-lit) Some of the sponge growth is amazing if you leave it be. I believe in biodiversity, and putting rock in a dark sump creates another niche for critters. I dont like it packed in tightly, but I definitely like it there.

    Shouldn't it be "Zoa"

Yeah, but there is no second "O" in Zoanthid. :D

Many.. Just be sure to drain the water a little below where the new hole will be :)

What do you feed your Clownfish(es)?

    Keeping Frogspawn Together.

IME the torch is the only one to cause a problem (sting the others), but hammers and frogspawn etc, can co-exist with each other in very tight conditions.

    Carlson Surge Devices?

Yeah, I pretty much hang in the CMAS forum on RC, the clownfish forum on RC, and here.. Not a whole lot of time for posting these days. I know of Matt, Infact he was going to be the first store that I was going to offer my food to when I was thinking of selling it to the local stores. He seems...

    Carlson Surge Devices?

Yes, I still stop by there once in awhile, but the board (at least the NIRA board) has died. I didnt care for some of the vendors constantly posting pics of their items for sale, and from what a lot of other people have told me they didnt care for the personality of the new mods in the NIRA...

    Carlson Surge Devices?

There are soooo many variables that come into play with surges/overflows/sump size/pipe size/fill rates/surge volume/ number of surges/timing of surges.. but tthey are all pretty easily dealt with. If your 1.5" pipe will not keep up and water rises over the top, you can lower the height of the...

    QT for Acro Eating Flatworms

IME, millies are just as easily infested with the AEFW. Infact thats where i first noticed them

    Carlson Surge Devices?

I have used carlsons many times, but all that I use now days are the borneman style.. much much more reliable, and less bubbles (on the 1" model anyway)

    elmo, you'd love these clowns...

I agree, Those snow flakes are plain ugly. I am a little bias torward onyx clowns myself :D

who do you think will win this one?

That is bryopsis (atleast appears to be), and IME the only thing that will touch the stuff is a fox face, and that is sometimes hit or mis. You will want to get that stuff under control. GFO (I prefer phos-lock) in a reactor (so you can see the flow, or how much its "dancing/bubbling"). Then...

    Megaflow drainpipes

any dips in any of the flexable hoses that would fill with water and cause a back pressure?

does this skimmer make my butt look fat?

Im not certain that the recirculating mods are all thatthey are cracked up to be. I have an octopus200(less than $200) that skims just like the 150 pictured in this thread. It will keep up with my 3' $800 dual recirculator needlewheel. It kills any of my beckets (PM2, 3' GEO, MRC3 with dual...

    look at this

..and the algae appears to be bryopsis. Try to keep your nutrients under control. There isnt many things that will eat bryopsis, Sometimes a foxface will, some say that lettuce nudies will eat it, and I guess that sea hares may also eat it. The best way IMO, is to keep the nutrients low and...

    QT for Acro Eating Flatworms

IMO/IME, I would dip for the AEFWs before the red bug, but would actually do both. Tropic marin pro coral cure is supposed to take care of both with one treatment. Even without completely knowing the repercussions, I would recommend dipping every new acro for both red bug and AEFWs. I would be...
