    advice from some gurus

I agree with ecobalance. Also check for bowing. Alternately, if the top of the tank has no bracing you could weld some acrylic to it. Can you get a picture of the top of the tank?

Sticking with my 70 or switching to my 55?

I think the 70 is cool looking. Overcoming the flow hurdle in the 70 may seem difficult, but switching it all over to a 55 seems like an even larger hassle.

Finally, room for fish and corals

Bricky, your build is fantastic. Looking at your wiring job, it's easy to understand why it took such a long time. Nice and neat. I do have a question though, when viewing the pictures in post #85 and #87 regarding the T-5 lamps, am I not seeing the end caps correctly? To me it looks as if the...

Let the tool do the work for you. Try to stay away from the edges of the glass, and try to space the...

Need help with a remote fuge design

Sorry about the vague question. In post #44 the lower, center baffles that are used to house the sand bed... if you have a 5-6" sand bed and the lower center baffles are close to the same height, I think you are going to get a lot of sand flowing over the baffles and into the rock chamber. It's...
