Enough LED light when using a LUX meter?

After almost renting a apogee mq-200 light meter, I found out that the meter is also weak in measuring the 453 nm actinic light wave as well. OK, then just use your corals to tell you if you have enough light.

    WHAT Ca reactor to do?

the reactor has not plugged up yet. My slight concern is that there is a lot of air bubbles flowing thru the chamber. Is the air bubbles mostly oxygen from the algae and the CO2 is being used up by the algae and the carbonate being broken down. CO2 has a higher solubility than oxygen in...

    WHAT Ca reactor to do?

The reator is in a greenhouse. Should I remove and clean the algae out? Or cover it and block the sunlight and hopfully stop the algae. Is the calcium reator a good plankton reproducing machine as well? CO2 + light grows algae. at a pH of 6.6

Treefan, Your lighting system will let you keep any kind of coral you want. I opted for my VHO lights v.s. MH because of the heat question in Yakima. Sound like you are doing a good job keeping the tempertures in check. I keep my temperture ~78 F I get my most temperture variation in the...
