    Chiller maintenance??

    Blow it out like don says if it is still too noisy pm me and I will take a look at it. I am a refrigeration tech I look at a lot of chillers but if it only a year old I would bet the fan just has dirt and dust and that is whats making the noise

    That is a perfect description of most stores in wa I have encountered. Either crap melting away in a tank or if you do happen to find a store with good specimens the prices are so ridiculous it is insulting. I stopped going to other stores after I found barrier reef.:)

    I soak mine in ro/di water overnight then rinse the sh*t out of it . If I don't I get carbon dust in the water column and it gunks up my skimmer to quickly

    I second on the reef crystals. I had a hell of a time when I switched salts on my 55 gal some years back. Lost a few lps. Could also explain why water changes are not helping Just a thought

    Purple up does have calcium. What are your ca levels at ? do you test how about your ALK or PH ? With steady CA levels around 420 and 8 DKH ALK you too with a little time will have the coraline plauge

    Yes I am going from 14 to 10 I would like more growth for now so I will shorten the light cycle for a bit

    Its time to change my bulb I want to change to a 10k from a 14k. How would I go about acclimating my corals to the new light? I assume I would shorten the light cycle for a while then slowly bring it up.

    Welcome LOL sucky 15 gal Looks like you are going to have a great time with that tank. As for the lights no matter what corals you have in the sucky eclipse you will want to acclimate them to the MH some people use a shorter photoperiod some put the corals in the bottom and slowly move up...
