    How to save a lemonpeel?

Oh Gee, that's just where I was gonna go next! But honestly, I bet whoever works at the dog pound has more humaneness in them than the folks that work at the forementioned LFS.

    Sump

Krish, you always know how to explain things in a way that makes sense. Thanks! :D

    Florida Move????

I am sorry to hear about your eye. Losing one makes the other one that much more precious... But the good news is, if you have worked in construction and have all that experience, you should make a great civil engineer! So many engineers have no actual hands on experience, and they design...

    How to save a lemonpeel?

Hi all, I saw a potentially beautiful lemonpeel angel at an LFS. The trouble is, the fish had a good size sore by its head, and bulges on its side. The price was marked as $30 and when I pointed out the sore, they said "it's not for sale then". But it is being picked on by a large wrasse and...

    Sump

I don't see much difference between having bio balls and having live rock... Both have large surface area to provide habitat for beneficial bacteria... So I am as confused as you are

Would like your thoughts on CPR AquaFuge2 back refugiums

I have a large CPR fuge. I really liked it when I had it on my tank. I did install a sump, and I am debating whether I should sell the fuge or hang it on my sump as a habitat for gentle creatures :)

    Florida Move????

Hypothetically I would agree with this, but... I grew up part time in the Middle East, with earthquakes rivaling those in California, and in Moscow, Russia with winters sometimes as severe as New England... I must say, the earthquakes and the snow never "got to me" like the Seattle grayness...

    Koralia pump question

Well, I wanted to take it apart but I was afraid that the store wouldn't take it back if I had. Maybe I should call them and ask...

    Have shopping list, need money!

Well, those filter guys rule! I just Paypal'd them the money around midnight and I have already received an email stating that the unit has been shipped out, as well as some instructions pertaining to some thingamajiggy on it. All this on a holiday! I am very impressed :D.

    porc puffer is dying

Oh, what a bummer, I am sorry to hear about the poor guy. I know it can be hard to lose a pet, even a fish. My biggest pet loss was my maroon clown from years ago, I still can't stop "kicking myself" for the death of that wonderful fish that I could've avoided. If you can, put a screen or a...

    Florida Move????

How funny, I've been trying to get my hubby to move to Florida too! You could buy a mansion for what our ghetto house cost here!

    Koralia pump question

Well, I guess everyone's pump is silent but mine. Lucky me, I'm special! :D I'll take it back to them this week, I hope they will cooperate :)

    Koralia pump question

Hi all, I wanted to add a little gentle flow to my tank, so I bought a Hydor Koralia 1 (kinda like a poor man's tunze :)) It does provide the flow I wanted, and the energy consumption is low, but the bugger makes more noise than all of my pumps combined. Other people who have had Koralia...

    Vlamingi tang question

Hi all, Our LFS has a small Vlamingi tang (3-4") that hangs out in their sump  My question is, if I bought it and let it live in my 125, how long would it take to outgrow it? And when it does, how easy is it to find a good home for it? I would kinda like to rescue the little guy, but...

    Help with Stand Design

Yeah, I am not a structural engineer but I have some experience with wood stands, and that looks just fine to me :). Especially if there is a one inch plywood on there. Also, the ends of the tank will reach both ends of the stand, right?

    Yippee! I got another toy!

Hey Krish, didn't you dismantle your modified aquapod? I want it, I want it! :D

    Have shopping list, need money!

It does :). I will post a list of specs on it later, I am tired and I've got the kids at home all day tomorrow so I better get some sleep! Maybe they will help me clean my "new" aquapod tomorrow.
