Excellent 10 gal. I just started one myself about a month ago. So far I have xenia, zoos, colt, leather, shrooms, f duster, snails/hermit and a seapent star. I am using a 65 watt 50 50 for lighting. What do you have on yours?? I also noticed the aqua clear cpr combo. Nice idea! How are...

I was kind of affraid that he might get sucked into a PH intake if I let him roam. Either was I positioned him in a crevice and put a small shell against him and he is latched on tight. Woo hoo! Reproduce little bugger....Reproduce!

    Placing Mushrooms?

Can anyone tell me the best way to place mushrooms. I just bought another mushroom (loose) and he just wonders around. I have shut off the circulating PH but he is still stubborn. I was told to use a toothpick to impale him on a rock. Is this accurate. Where do you impale it. Through the...

    Hitchilker Star ID???

Just did a search on green linkia and found it. I was spelling linkia wrong the whole time last night. Still a little worried because I woke up and ound it exploring my xenia a little to close. It really likes to wonder around and quickly at that.

    Hitchilker Star ID???

I bought some yellow polyps the other day and it came with this really funky shaped piece of live rock. I think it is half an encrusted oyster shell or something. Well the BONUS came when I was watching my tank tonight and saw a really cool 3 in star coming out of it. The star looks a lot...

    Obtaining live sand

Don't do it. Unpredictable the amount and kind of life in the sand you are importing into your tank.

Cool Green centers with red. Great deal They will spread like crazy in no time. That is the greatest thing about buying cheapie frags.

    New eye candy

Kinda what I was thinking too. I am not the type to say "Well I'm going to get a bigger tank so in the meantime..." I like my small desk nano. My big tank has fishies and I think I would like to keep it that way. Please keep up with pics so I can be envious though.

    My Nano Reef Idea.

Amazing animal that is considered a pest for obvious reasons but in the right set up will be a great pet. GREAT IDEA!

40-80 watts in a fish only setup??

Ageed.... Lots of factors here (Silicates, Phosphates, lighting duration, players in the tank etc) The only thing for certain with that limited amount of light is that the only thing you could keep in the tank are non photosynthetic creatures ie fish and inverts like stars hermits snails

I'm back and have a small question about fish only aquariums

UV Good Skimmer and a reef pack of efficient algae inverts is what I would go for just remember there is no such thing as a small question just small people.
