    for softies you really only need about 10X but more is always good, main thing is you want to keep the dead spots in your tank to a min.

    I would just cure the rock, it's nickel coated copper. I don't see it being any worse that dipping fish and then adding them to the tank, thats just me maybe someone else might know better

    Theirs alot of bad stuff in tap water. I would suggest buying a fairly good ro/di it is well worth the investment. check out bulkreefsupplies.com or the filter guys, try to get something with a vertical DI chamber and not the small horizontal ones

    Large thing of water change about every week until the PH is 8.2. The first cure is to let the cement set up. It's just a waiting game.

    I just tightend mine by hand, if you over tighten them you crack the nut or crush the gasket causing a leak.

    Just get a thread to slip adpter at HD to go on a thread slip Bulk head if thats all you can find. There like less than a dollar.

    I belive the slip thread ones are the ones you need, one side will be for hard plumbing and the threaded for a strainer.

    A clamp won't work for that fitting becase your is going into the bulkhead and not on the outside. You need this stuff http://flexpvc.com/ it's glued like regular pvc.
