12DX - First saltwater tank

I guess we will see if there is any more polyp extension a few hours after the lights turn on.

The birdsnest I got is just loving my tank right now. When I got it, I fragged off a branch that was stung by a torch pretty badly, and two weeks later there is already tissue grown over the fragged area and new polyps are covering it! I must say, that seems like a good sign.

Gawd, there is sooooooooooooooooo much to polyp extension. Good polyp extension doesn't necessarily mean that it likes it, just something to ponder ;).

As far as the birdsnest, I have said this before, I couldn't kill it and believe me, I tried. You will love the color, it is always fuzzy. I can't wait until you can make a trip up and take a look at my tank. We are gonna have a good conversation.

Very cool, your corals look beautiful. You have done a great job of maintaining everything for such a small tank. I just sold my biocube about an hour ago. I needed some money to pay bills. That also gave me the motivation to pull all my equipment out my sump and clean it up. My water had an awful brown tinge from my phosphate media and everything had a brown coat of dust on it. Looks 100% better now that I put a filtersock on my outlets and turned the bioreator into a sponge filter.

Nice close-up pics!

Thank you!

the zooanthid pics are great, congrats.

Thanks Charlie

Long time since we have talked! How is the other tank doing?

Just down to 1 tank right now. My main 17 gallong ADA with all the hardware. The Biocube 29 was my secondary tank which I just sold on craigslist.

Oh gotcha. Ya, I'll take some soon. I've been super busy with my new job so I haven't really touched it until today. Looks great right now since I cleaned so I'll try and take some pictures of everything tomorrow.

Great looking lil 12DX! I've got one here in my office that's going on 4 years old now.

You have some great looking coral in there for sure! Keep up the good work :)
