When you feel like your being watched....dont get paranoid. Its just the hawkfish! LOL...

My recliner sits in front of the tank and when I am sitting in it, the hawkfish perches himself right over my right shoulder.

Hey Damien, like Dave said what size exactly are you looking for? I have a 1-3/8" and 1" plus some smaller ones...

Cheers, Todd

Well to be honest ive never drilled a tank, and am gettin mixed info.. i was planning on 2x 1" bulkheads for flow to sump/refug.. then 2 for return flow back to tank with loc line inside.. so i have been reading for a 1" bulkhead some say use 1 3/4 and other places say 1 1/8 to 1.5 for 1" bulkhead.. any recommendations there? Now for return flow.. would it better to go smaller? I dont have the loc line parts yet but i figured i'd get some input before i start buying stuff....

Ohh and btw thanks dave and todd for the quick reply's

Damien, a H-U-G-E piece of advice DO NOT DRILL UNTIL YOU HAVE BULKHEADS IN-HAND schedule 40 & 80 as well as brand-to-brand or duty rating are all different. IMO having two 1" drains with a 3/4" return would be sufficient for most apps but depends on what return pump being used. You can run a Loc-line 'Y' inside to direct flows.

Cheers, Todd

so i was just looking online.... then i started thinking, i can buy online and wait for shipping... or does Lowe's or Home Depot carry these? seeing as we have a lowes right around the corner... this might be the way to go... or would you recommend just getting it from a site that advertises it for an aquarium?

Lowes and Home Depot do not carry bulkheads at all. I've tried several locations. McLendons carries the Schedule 80 ones but they are a bit pricey. I believe Red C and BRA carry some of the Schedule 40 or standard duty ones but I would call them first to be sure. Online is quite a bit less but as you said... you have to wait for them. In our searches it seems Bulk Reef Supply has the biggest selection and good prices IMO. They also give complete measurements on their website so you could drill while you were waiting for them if you had to but like Todd suggested, I would wait until they are in your hands just in case.

Ok so ima daddy! Well i been a daddy but... my mollies had lil babies.. my daughters were having a sleep over and they come running in talkin bout there are baby fishies! So anyway.. my question is... should i take them out and put em in a small tank? I got a little 10 gallon tank.. should i throw alittle sand and some water from my DT in it, just to keep what they are use too? Or do you think they will be fine in my DT? They are hangin at the surface...
