well... ive desided... after watching my temp in my little tank swing 5 degree... that its time for my 2nd rk2...

since the one on my big tank has not failed, me and i am happy with its seting up/ user interface... ive desided to go looking for a 2nd one...

i thought i throw this out there so i can get the "DONT DO IT's"

lol

Can just get a single stage ranco if you want to save some cash. Though having all the timer controls is nice.

whats a REEFKEEPER II??

The reefkeeper II is a brand of controller. Can be used to control various equipment such as light, heaters, CO2 silenoids, ozone generators etc. with time ranges, or min and max ranges on readings from various probes attached to the controller e.g. ph, temp, orp.

Hope this helps

259 free shipping...

and since my has bin working great for over a year... Im happy..

i only use it for control of 2 heaters... not ph or timers...

the lights are on there own timer.. and anything that is high watt (200+) is on its own cuicit...

ill show ya when i get it..

anyone know anything about aquacave.com

bin a few days.. and havent got the ok... we got your order its going email yet... but im waiting.

I just bought a Co2 regulator from them and I started to worry too. I didn't get shipping notification for a couple of days so I called them and it asked what was up, it then shipped the next day. I don't know if my call had anything to do with it getting shipped or not but it did ship the day after I called. That was my first order with them but I recieved it and everything seems good.

RK 2 seems nice enough for the $$$. I am thinking of running on on my 65 gallon tank, but only problem I've found is the company has discontinued the RK2 model.

Website for the ReefKeepers is www.digitalaquatics.com

ya... i noticed that they dont make it anymore.... after i relized that the 2nd rk2 i got was older... the fermware was 2.0

so i had to flash the fermare and update it...

works great... both of them... i really use it to control 2 heaters... i dont use the wavemaker... and most of the other timeing options...

u guys will be the first to know if something goes wrong.

there still out there.... it just means there not makeing it anymore..

i got mine from marine depot... but theres other vendors that have em as well..

the cable that comes with it hooks to your serial port (if you still have one)
i had 2 reconstruct a old Pc 2 use a serial port.

the cable is like 12" so you will need to bring the controler to the pC of get a longer cable.

go to the sight download the fermware update and follow the instrictions... its eazy.

the Rk3 is leet... i guess but im not spending 4 beans
