After about 2 1/2 years in this hobby so far, and going from a 29g freshwater for our very first tank to a 29g saltwater we got hooked. Since then we have had a 46G bow front, and a 55g. After deciding to take a break (sorta) from reefing we downsized back to a 29 Biocube with a few small fish some zoas and shrooms, but as we all know to well this hobby seems to suck us in to bigger and better tank setups!
So here we are setting up our Deep Sea Aquatics NEO 90G. The plan is to go with a bare bottom tank with a sump / fuge being plumbed into the garage to keep all the mechanics and alot of the noise out of the living room.
The plan for the inhabitants is mainly live rock, LPS, clams and zoos, with a few fish of course. So enough with the talking...heres some pics!:D

Some more pics...So for our skimmer we went with the SWC 160 cone, I hear you just cant go wrong with this skimmer! So we shall see!

Nice size. I think that is how must of us started in the hobby with a small tank and we get bigger and bigger.

Great start and thanks for the pix....

Is this gonna be set up at my house  That would be awesome thanks LOL

All the kidding aside that is a sweet tank i like the size and the stand !

Looking good !

So we finally got the stand and hood completed and in the house! Check out its new home! :)

Thanks, I just couldnt justify spending the money for the stand and canopy that are designed for this tank! Time...more time, a little more time, and ALOT less money and you can have a much better setup IMO, if you have the tools and patience also of course.

So here is a very crude drawing of the plan for the garage, we bought one of those 40breeders at the Petco $1 a gallon sale, just couldnt pass that up! sorry for the 3rd grader paint picture! LOL

Very nice guys!!!! I can't wait to see this get up and running!
Thanks man! I know we cant wait either!
Alright, more elementary artwork in action. So this gives you an idea of the return and drain going to / from the sump from in the house. havent figured out exactly how all the turns are going to be put together, was thinking instead of just 90 degree fittings use 2 45's in the turns, i guess it depends on the retun pump we are going to use. I need to figure out my head loss with all the turns and lengths. But am I safe to say you want about 3-400gph going through this setup for a 90 gal DT, w/ a 40B as a sump??

Imo i would use union valves on the important stuff.. Looks great lovin the skimmer.

I understand union valves, but im not quite sure what you are getting at. Are you talking about connecting your external pump with union valves on in/out lines for easy removal?

Ordered the Blueline 40hd return pump, an ATO, and the current NEP 6x39w T5 fixture last night. Can't wait to get it all here and setup!

Thanks Charrise!! I hope someday it'll look as gorgeous as yours!! Your my inspiration lol.
