Calcium reactor media!!!!!!

im using half ARM half aqua medic hydrocarbonet,when i had the controler set at 6.5 the dkh was only like 16 and im only running 4 or 5 drips of efluent per sec. since i droped the ph it has risen some to like 24 ill check again tomorrow and see if its come up more

Rowa seems to work best at around 6.25 for melting, not sure about the hydrocarbonet though. I found some media that matches the rowalyth and have been converted over to that for about 2 month?? Works pretty darn good at 68dkh steve W ended up at 72

im getting some melting but mostly dust but if i dont drop the ph that low i get no dkh.ive been messing with this reactor for about 8 months,im just getting tired of still having to dose 2 part when i have a $650 reactor.

Well arm is just expensive crushed coral. Never heard of the other one. This rowa lith, as well as the stuff mike is getting are both supposed to be a lot more concentrated w/ what you want from your cal reactor media, and not other polluntants ie phosphates.

Chris&Barb, I am sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your Deltec reactor, but it will not work well with ARM. If you check the Deltec forum on RC(sorry guys), you will see lots of people have not had the best of luck with ARM. Also, you could have trouble getting any help from Doug if the pump is damaged. I have heard of arm getting through the system and into the pump. If that happens, I am not sure he can cover it under a warranty.

The Deltec reactor was meant to use ROWAlith C+. I know some people must have it because we sell it to our distributors. If you switch over to ROWAlith C+, I am sure you will get the results you are looking for.

thanks for the reply,im using the media that i am because i cant get the Rowa.and its not for a lack of tring,i live 20min away from Doug and have asked more then once to go to the office/wearhouse to get some but every time i asked Doug said"i will bring it to you" and then he bails out.im not tring to bash, it's just the way it is.also im not worred about the media getting into the pump because im not tring to fluideze it, and its less then half full,any fuller and the dkh drops.could you tell me someone in DE.PA.NJ.or MD. that sell's it?
