Hello,
This Tridacna gigas has spawned every day for five days at 4-5 PM and lasts 2-3 hours. None of the fish or corals have reacted negatively. The tank is clear by morning and nitrogen levels test normal. In the past all my coral and clam spawn events occur in June/July. I think this is due to higher water temperatures but I can't be certain. Most of the year I maintain 76-77F but in June the water can hit 80-81F.

The poor Latezonatus almost did a somersault from the backwash :) I had to put towels along the top of the tank to keep water from coming over the sides. The tank is 30" tall

Regards,
Kevin

That's pretty awsome Kevin, will have to stop by and check out your store on one of my family visits to Priest River. Have always heard great reviews.

Cheers, Todd

With the daily spawning I thought for sure that there would be a negative effect on the water quality. I did notice an area of increased Cyano bacteria growth but I added a MP60 today so we will see how that works. I may need to tweak the programing on it tomorrow.

Regards,
Kevin
