Michael if Dolphin says that pump will work that way and the plumbing can feed enough for the pump, I think we were brilliant and you'll be very happy with drilling the face of that overflow. The way you were talking about doing it, it will actually still pull water over the top of those slits on the face, as well as the bottom, since they cover the holes behind, so even that part of the flow won't be changed. Just because the holes are in the face, doesn't mean that's right where it will be pulling from, after all. I'm anxious to see how our hair brain schemed works out. Wait, is this a good idea or bad? Did we decide yet? I want to know whether to blame it on you .

LOL I'm still undecided on who's going to take the final blame!! In emailing Wetwebmedia about this, they're telling me that the most I'll get is approximately 1500 gph of output...lol. I guess I'm just going to have to do a test run.
