We are going to move next year and I have the basement to myself and want to finish it. My thoughts are for something atleast 30 inches wide. I want to keep it 24 tall because of my height. would glass or acrylic be better? I might want to do it in a tuning fork configuration. Where you can stand in the middle of it so to speak. The short side would be in a wall and the longer sides would come out to be viewable from three sides. Maybe 6*30.24 on those and 4*30*24 on the wall unit.

WOW! Sounds like a winner. :)

We started out with glass because it resists scratches better, but our next tank is acrylic. That's probably the best way to go, especially with a non-standard shape tank.

Be sure to post pictures so we can all drool!

Welcome to Reef Frontiers!!

The tank sounds really cool! On glass vs. acrylic - I would price them out, and see what the cost is, and whether or not there is a good glass tank builder in your area - that may help with your decision. Can't wait to see that design come together.

I will.

Right now I have a new friend on met on our home site here in Michigan building me a stand for mt little cube. that tanks is 22*22*24. It gonna be all acropora and montipora.

I was over my friend Johns today and we were discussing some of the difficulties in getting this tank into a basement. I may have to have a contractor come in when the house is being built and do the work on site.

The good thing is I can finace it into the mortgage then LOL
