deciding on what lights to get... plz help

k im not gonna go with halides so soon so its either up to 4x96w pc's, t5's (which i know nothing about), and 4x110w VHO's. what do you guys think. pro's and con's please. gonna go with the retro kit by the way probably pfo

My last tank was a 75gallon, and I had 4-96watt PC lights over it... 2-10K's and 2-Atenic's

I've upgraded to a 180 now. I also upgraded lighting, to MH, supplimented with 4-110 VHO's. I will have to admit, I have MUCH MORE coloration with the VHO's... than I thought was even possible with the PC's.

Just my oppinion.

what bulbs should i get with the vho then? also do they have the type that gives off that blue color? should i get it with 2 ballasts or will one be fine?

I use, and very much like the URI Super Actinic (blue hue lights)... and the URI Actinic White (10K white hue lights). 1 to 1 mix (if no MH). So, if you had 4 bulbs... do 2 of each.
