Ok, so.. I've been contemplating what fish I want to add to my 24 x 7 x 9, 6.6gal. I ordered a crapload of dottybacks from ORA last week at work, which got me wondering about their compatibility to a small reef tank. I'm mainly interested in the Springer's Dottyback. From what i've read, the Springeri stay the smallest, at barely 2" and I really dig their colors. The Indigo Dottybacks(A hybrid) look pretty cool too, but I think they get a bit bigger.

Also, should I add a fish before or after corals? Or does it really matter?

If you ordered a "crapload" of dottybacks for a 6.6 gal aquarium I would be looking for someone to buy them.

I just need to stop mentioning my job on this forum. lol. People always misunderstand what I say when I do. lol.

Re-read the post, carefully.

I ordered a crapload of dottybacks "at work", which got me thinking, etc etc.

I don't think a 6.6 is big enough for a Dottyback. Though some stay small, they are big swimmers and need a lot more room.

I really wouldn't put any fish in a tank that size , but if I had to suggest one it would be a Clown Goby

K, thanks.. A green clown goby was my second choice.

You might look into citrus clown gobys too. Or yellow clown goby's. They usually stay <1" and have lots of personality, and stick to the side of the tank like a plecostomas. But they do sometimes nip at SPS, so look out.

I read the post "carefully" and still see nothing about where you work etc. I order almost all my stuff at work too.:D Do you work at the PP with Krish?

Oh, I didn't mean I had said WHERE I work, just more of, I ordered them at work FOR work, not for my own personal little 6gal tank. lol I just ment that I know better then to stuff 10 psuedochromis in one little tank. :p lol

As for PP, I can't think of any stores that that acronym would fit. But no I don't work with him/her.

Krish and the PP is a joke. :D We always pick on her about it. Ask Krish what the PP is. She will tell you.:D:badgrin:

As for the PP, you'll have to ask Brian (brenden) about that. He brough that name here with him when he joined RF. (LOL)

K...Back to the dottybacks:)

ROFL, thats hilarious..

Don't worry though, I feel ya. My full name is Brienne. I get called "Brian" alot. Don't ask me how "brienne" can be pronounced "brian", but it happens.. Alot.
