I have had a frogspawn in my tank for six or more months. I just added a bit more flow and now I have seen three small pieces of the FS floating around in the tank. I am not blowing the coral hard. The question is. Does it just need to get used to the current? Why is it coming apart? Will these pieces harm other coral? How can I fix the problem?

thats the coral budding off to make more corals and yes they will harm other corals.
It may actually be the extra flow. Sometimes too much unidirectional flow can cause the tentacles to spin and twist until they finally break off and float around the tank. Yes the the pieces will sting the other corals they land on if the frogspawn is the more agressive coral. Budding, or polyp bailout as a form of spawning is pretty rare in our fish tanks and is usually caused from unfavorable, or fluctuating conditions. The baby polyp is very unlikely to survive if thats the case. If the coral keeps losing peices you may want to move it or change the flow. If its polyp bail out, then you probably have more serious problems. Just keep a close eye on it for the time being. I had three kinds in an SPS dominated tank with near 100x flow. It should get used to it.
