I just want to say hi to everybody. Im about to try my second attempt at a reef set-up. The first try was a 90 gal. that I made many mistakes with.I now have 100 lbs. of dead (live rock). I am setting up a 125 gal. I will be asking you all for any help you can give and thankyou in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

Yeah that kinda thing happens more than we would like to admit, unfortunately. Well we will all here be happy to help out where we can I am sure. Good luck and I hope the second time around is a lot better. With a 100 lbs of "dead rock" already it looks like another 25 lbs or so, of live rock to seed your dead rock will get you off to a pretty good start if you got a little time and patients to work with. At least it will cut a a good chucnk off the intital start up cost. Again Good luck!

Welcome to the frontier. This is probably one of the most informative places on reef keeping you will ever find and the replies come pretty quickly. Let us know what we can do to help? Being south of Seattle you will should have plenty of support. Keep the posts coming.

wow, I didn't expect quite as a responce as i got from you people. The main problem I had with the first tank was the LFS was going out out town. He led me to belive that his stock was okay, but he had shut down his sytem several days before. What I got was decaying stuff, mostly (live rock). I will be asking most of you many questions from here on out, so be prepared. And again THANK YOU.

to charlie: yes can you remember toys in the attic. Really though any help you can give me will help a lot .This time I want a permanet fixture that I can enjoy for a long time.
