Hi Everyone,

Happy to be here:) I'm planning for a +/- 200 gallon reef tank with dimensions hovering somewhere around 72L x 24D x 30H.

I'm still working through the glass vs. acrylic internal debate. I'm leaning more towards acrylic currently, probably even more so if Jason at CFI is willing to work with me here on the East Coast.

I'll gladly take any recommendations on quality glass and/or acrylic tank builders in and around the NY/NJ/CT area.

Thanks!

Welcome! My take on the glass vs, acrylic debate is...it depends how big and where I am setting it up at. For example, my tank in the living room is a 60 gallon starphire cube because of flooring support. The basement has all acrylic because i had to tote those suckers down a narrow flight of stairs! Also the acrylic is lighter for something like 200 gallons.

My say is glass all the way.

Acrylic does out weight glass when u debate pros and cons.
I've done the thread lol.
