how long do people leave their halides on for?

I have 6 400 watt halides abouve my 500 gallon cube with Luminac III reflectors and 8 t5 actinic's. I recently had to change out my timers on my lights and for the life of me cannot remeber the length of time they stay on. That got me thinking how long does everyone else run theirs. My t5's come on around 10 am and shut down at about 10 pm.

I did have a full tank of SPS. Have a few large colonies left that where not in the tank that cooked.

6 good hours atleast of halides should work well. 8 hours even better. JMHO

I run my halides ten hours a day (staggered on different timers) and my T5s six hours.

i have my actinics on for 13 hours and my 2x400 watt haliades on for 10 hours with the actinics on an hour before and 2 hours after haliades come on and go off

I run 4 400w halides over my 300, and I stagger them. 2 are on for 8 hours and 2 are on for 7 hours.
Vho supplementation is on 12 hours.

Thanks guys. I found my set up paper work when I first set up the lights. I had them on for about 7 hours.

I dont even use timers anymore. I turn them on when ever I happen to role out of bed. I turn them off after dinner. Anywhere from 5 to 12 hrs.
