Yeah, I welcomed everyone for a couple weeks then won the rest playing black jack until it started freezing on me. Oh well, my time is spent better elsewhere anyway. Note to self, stay away from the casinos! LOL...

OK, I've gotta say something now. When someone else was asking why they couldn't post in the sale forums I responded by saying they could still buy stuff using PMs and was basically told that my post was providing a way around the rules.

Well in looking at posts #48 and #49 in the thread finn provided, someone else did the same thing and scooterman said it was OK to buy stuff with PM's.

On a serious note, what does irritate me is other members of Reeffrontiers playing police with newbies and posting rant threads. Maybe you guys should volunteer your time to become moderators? I could see how a person new to this forum would be detoured away by complaints instead of feeling welcomed with a warm greeting!

I read most of the post during the day while I am driving. I hate it when the last post is someone only looking to get their count highet. And I reallllllly hate when a Thread becomes Jesus and comes back fron the dead just for a post count.... NICE PICTURES MAN

Reading from a cell phone while driving is a big NO No in this state (as well as others). *lol* You should be paying attention to the driving not the cell phone. Guess I'm just jealous because I do not have a cellular/wireless device to distract me.

Never said I want to be a policeman. Just up to my eyes in crap from people trying to circumvent the intent of the rule. I also don’t like people that jump ahead of the line , people that have to merge at the last possible second, and a man or woman that cheats in their marriage. I guess it comes down to that I just cant fix stupid. People that think that are better then the rest and the rules do not apply to them. Never could figure out why there was such a BIG driving force to be able to “SELL” on this forum.

Now maybe some of you are that type of person that thinks that you are above the rest of us. And the intent of the rule does not apply to you. Well Good For You……..I not asking you to be sheep but usually we all get along better when the intent is followed.

It really is not that hard to get the post count required. But like I said I just cant fix stupid.


O and to add what else irritates me is when people feel that ever new member should be sent warm fuzzy feelings when they join. Maybe somebody could make up a warm Hallmark type greeting card for them..Ya… and make sure it has roses on the cover... YA Ya .... We could all stand in a circle, hold hands, and sing songs.:lol::lol:

Like I said just venting and even tried to get this thread killed but it keeps having its own life... Hum... Maybe I could post some pictures.

You be surprise what else I can do while driving. Just never cut in front of me at the last second....80,000 lbs kills very fast and little cars are just a speed bump....

But I think brandy was talking about the post where someone got on her for telling someone else to pm to buy something, (as I was also told this when i first joined the forums) then in another post that same person was OK with someone else telling them to buy in a pm or told someone else that they can buy by PMing that person. too lazy to go re read it again. I think it is funny how most can sit here and bicker back and forth who cares really a rule is a rule there is away to get around everything just do you have the knowledge to do so? I vote make no post limit and 90days and call it a day really I could care less. does it take away from our LFS Yes and No when people buy and sell stuff. live stock wise yes but with out. dry goods and equipment not so much. as LFS have to compete with online and the ones in the area do try and compete with online prices not paying shipping and walking out of a store with it is worth a few extra bucks to me. and I know I am not in Vegas anymore but I used to order from Marine depot all the time if I ordered by 1 pm I had my stuff the next morning by 11am so there why wouldn't you then the LFS started to match the prices. I also had the LFS order stuff for me just to show thanks for hanging in there in rough times (economy) I have friends that own stores and can get anything I want for what they pay but I still choose to go to the LFS. well for most things. But this is getting beat like a dead horse. it is a forum everyone has there own issues and some people always have to be right even when they are wrong. I just think it is funny in my own little mixed up world. real post fake post I understand the frustration do I agree with it no nothing says you have to post more then one line most forums I go to have a word limit to make people actually think what to post. And if you been on longer then 6 months and don't have enough post to buy anything well get to posting. easy 50 is a easy number to reach not like i suggested 90days then WOW the fun would really begin. good deals are to be found for people getting out of the hobby I haven't seen anyone selling stuff like they are a fish store or soon to be fish store or online vendor Etc.

When I stated what irritated me? That was a general comment. In other words, I think it's up to the moderators to moderate the forums, not members just wanting to play boss or complain about new members and their posts. To me, that's not very inviting. My comments above what irritates me was directed at being told I was providing a way around the rules by telling someone they could just use PM's to buy something.

Are you asking who the moderators are? If so, on the main forum page there's a Moderator column that shows the moderator for each forum. The main moderators have RF-Staff in red print under their user name and above their avatars.

Isn't this thread and your complaint in general a little bit ironic since you don't follow the rule of law while driving? Breaking said rule while driving can/will affect lives and the rule you are complaining about here will have NO bearing on lives what so ever.

The biggest problem with threads like this is that they always get nasty and personal. Lets get back to reefkeeping and teaching newbs how to be successful.
