Well I am posting some pictures of my tank and the few corals that I have stocked. I would like your opinions and comments on how everything is coming along. Also, some answers on questions.

The Tank:

29G Tall
Eheim 2215
Korilia #2
Corallife SS 125

Coral:

Kenya Tree (new)
Zoanthids
Green Star Polyps
Mushrooms
Colt

Algae, as seen in pictures, what is the best way to remove? I have a sea hare in the tank but it isn't getting in the cracks and crevasses of the rocks. I have a emerald crab and a few hermits but they tend to eat more of the coralline than anything else. I ended up brushing the gist of it off but this is what didn't come off.

Parameters:

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
PH - 8.3
Calcium - 600 (I know that this is very high and am working on it)
Phosphate - 0 - .10

looks good I would redirect the flow to get circulation in between the rock!
of add anther small power head to do this!
I have a AGA 29 gallon with two K-4's and a sea swirl from the return pump to agitate the surface!
I know this sound extreme but I HATE dead spots and the fish play in the flow all day!
They love it!
At night they find the few low flow spots to chill!
And the corals love it!

2 K4's! WOW!

EDIT: Just in powerheads that is 2400 gallons hourly. Your tank circulates 82.7 times an hour! Holy cow, my 2 flase percs have a hard time swimming in the 1 #2 as it is.

I may buy 2 soon just to see what it will do.

Haha Myteemouse glad to hear you liking more flow :) Boosted the tank looks great a good little tip for getting that stubborn algae off go buy a little cheap toothbrush maybe two a adult one and then a childs one (that's what I have) and get in there scrub you can then take a net and catch anything coming off. Now you are running a canister filter and you are showing traces of Phos. you might try running some Phosguard. Are you using tap or RODI water?

I am still using tap water but it tests clean. That is the main reason I have not purchased a RO/DI system.

What part of the tap is testing clean have you tested for Phos.? I know my tap is good but.... when it came to Phos. it was sooo high. That's why I using RODI.

Why don't you put your heater in the sump? Also, I would consider emerald crabs. That hair algae is looking .... fun.

One small piece of advice. Your brown star polyps,, keep a very close eye on them. They will get everywhere and cover everything. You may think it's cool now, but there may come a day when you wish you didn't add them.:)
Nice start on the zoanthids. Are you planning on more?

Tank is coming along nicely! :) About the algae, can't really tell by the pics, but do you have little green bubbles as in bubble algae or just air bubbles in the algae as in some shots, it looks like there are bubbles in there....Let us know :)

Is that a black cowrie I see? I think I have the same one (cyprea caputserpentis) and that guy used to eat green star polyps as well as coralline algae from time to time. If you like your polyps, watch that guy.

Honestly, your tank doesn't look too bad.... we are most critical of ourselves :)

It appears the seahare is doing its job, but they don't get every little bit.

it tests clean
Where are you located and what has been tested? TDS at zero is what you want :)

Hey Boosted I don't know where you are at but I have a handheld TDS meter that we could test that tap with I know up here in Sammamish our water out of faucet tests between 80-107 which isn't bad but you want as close to 0 as possible. You might keep your eye out for a used RODI unit it is really worth it. If you are a member of the PSAS AIR, WATER and ICE offer I believe 10% off and their units are sweet I have a Typhoon Extreme and love it.

Tank looks great. You gave everything a little bit of growing room, and it should fill in very nicely. Make sure you take your pads out of your canister filter. Remember "snails got to eat" does not have to be spotlees all the time :)

Thanks you for all of the compliments guys. It is on its way to be a nice tank. I am excited to watch it grow and mature. As for my tap water I have tested it with my kit and everything is "0" across the board. I have an account with a water purification company and may see if they won't supply me with a RO/DI unit.
