Dang it...the fitting on the exhaust side of the pump is leaking again. I have a couple gaskets. I'll pull it off, replace the tape again and put a gasket on it. That should help. I hope!!!!

Well the fill up is on hold for a while. This fitting needs to be resealed. Which means loosening the bulhead. This is the bottom 2" bulkhead that drains to the closed loop pump. Its the same fitting that is leaking on the pump. So I drained what water I needed to into the sump, since I will have to fill it eventually anyway. I'll work on geting the bulkhead loose during the week.

Hang in there Lorie,
Rome was not built in a day!!
Small things like this is what make us better at our hobby.

This is like watching a Bob Ross painting episode in slow motion. It's going to be beautiful when it's done, but pure suspense. What happy little wave is he going to paint next? Did you guys have Bob Ross around here on PBS, or was that a purely Midwest thing?

Every Saturday morning I saw that guy painting happy little trees lol. OPB is great (Oregon Public Broadcasting for non Oregonians)

IPisces, this tank is going to be sweet :) I have a 125 and wish I had the extra depth. It really opens up a lot of options for aquascaping.

I think so. Water is running again. The fitting that was leaking is again submerged. Maybe I should go check it!

82 gals of water in the tank

to the tune of 99 bottles of beer on the water....82 gallons of water in the tank, 82 gallons of water, wait some more, check for leaks, 83 gallons of water in the tank!!

:D

Thats pretty good...LOL!

We are almost there. Both exhaust bulkheads to the closed loop pump are submerged and NOT leaking....yay!
I think I should be able to mix salt in it by Sunday.

Maybe you should have hosted an RO/DI party???? BYORO/DI LOL

Do you have a heater in that 106.23345 gals yet?

haha..thats a good idea. Why didnt you think of that sooner?

No heater yet. I am going to get a couple powerheads and a heater in it tomorrow. Going to pull and reseal the closed loop pump, hook it back up and run it tomorrow too.

Its at 127 gals.
I am going to get busy on the pump and get the closed loop running and start mixing salt! :bounce:

And I am mixing salt! YAY!
I'm getting excited. I want to move the rock in tomorrow and start aquascaping. I have enough saltwater mixed in my holding container that once all the rock in in the tank, I can top off what I need to.
The rock should fill the tank and start water running over into the sump.
