I finally just got my goniopora that I ordered last week. It was described as 7.5"x9.75", but the skeleton is only 3.5" in a perfect half sphere. Will it stretch that far? When it arrived, it was upside down in the bag, and a little slimy. The polyps that weren't on the bottom are already open, but the others are opening kinda slowly. How long should it take to open? How much flow should it have to fully expand and be happy?

It will likely open up to the size listed when you bought it. I bought mine from Barrier Reef about 3 years ago. In the store, the tentacles were only about half an inch long. After about 6 weeks in my tank, they slowly opened up to their normal size of about 3-4 inches long. Depending on the species (there are over 20) it can be an extremely difficult coral to keep. It sounds like you do have baby buds forming. These will likely drop off on their own over time. I don't think all goniopora reproduce in this fashion. Mine has never formed buds in over 3 years of captivity.
Make sure to keep the tentacles in a light flow area as they like to move and you'll get the best extensions. Also be sure to not allow any fish to play in it a lot as the tentacles will stay retracted and you'll loose the coral. This is what happened to mine over a period of six months. Maroon clownfish decide it was fun to play in. Crazy fish. *lol*

It's a Reef Keeper Lite with the NET module. I run a web server that reads the XML file created by the Reef Keeper, and creates the sig image from that file. I've been having trouble with my router lately though, and it's been disconnecting all wireless devices, so occasionally the sig may not load (I connected the Reef Keeper using a wireless bridge).
I believe most people use Reef Chat's sig generator for their sig, but I found it lacks flexibility, so I created my own.

Well, since I run the webserver that serves the image, I can make it do things like show a random picture, change colors of fonts based on their values, move the text around exactly where I want it, call out DA for their defective salinity probes, etc. My salinity probe has been broken for about 4 months now with DA perpetually saying they're getting new probes in soon, as the last batch had many defective ones. I don't know how they can continue to sell the SL2 module (which has the salinity probe/monitor) while simultaneously telling us they can't replace our defective probes because they don't have them yet.
I have my sig cycling through 4 images I created. I also have the text red when it says "Off" and green when "On". Similarly, if the temp or pH falls out of a desirable range, I color them red to indicate the value is not good. My tank suffers from chronically low pH, which is why the value is in red from early morning to early afternoon before it rises up to an acceptable level. I can do a lot more stuff with it since I run the web server and coded the image generator, if only I had more time
.The flexibility issue I'm talking about is solely with Reef Chat's sig generator, it's not a limitation of the Reef Keeper at all.

Also, I noticed that Reef Chat sigs all have the tank stats listed left to right in rows. I don't know if you can alter that, but I listed mine top to bottom in a single column, which lets me place the image content at right without making the text unreadable when overlayed on top of the image. I've seen a lot of ugly Reef Chat sigs with nearly unreadable text due to the background conflicting with it.

No, you can use whatever image you want for the background, along with the font you want as well. It just doesn't let you customize the layout as much as I'd like, or have the sig do different things based on the values in your xml.
