Man, that's scary. It's me in the picture! imagine if the shark jumped at the time!!!

That poor shark! What were they thinking putting a chlorinated flume through a salt tank? I guess they have not seen MY fish jump. Which usually goes thump splash cuss-they always do that right after I clean the lid.
I used to have a freshwater tank in my bedroom and all night long it was stupid killifish thumping against the lid. The unlucky ones made it out. Killies travel in the wild, from one pool to the next. The water is always greener on the other side I guess. Unfortunately mine live in glass boxes, not a flat flooded savannah.
Bet the next tourist in line for the slide just about lost it.

I can't believe your daughter is 2 already. She already looks smart and cute too.

Thanks Kate...She's a handful! :p Yea, I know what you mean about fish jumping. I had an Arowana that I loved!! Had it from when it still had the yolk sac and when he was almost 12 inches long, he jumped out of the tank one night. :doubt: That's what got me to switch to saltwater.

Sorry I missed your post Mike...I suck  I don't get notifications if anyone replies to threads I post on because if I did we all know what would happen to my inbox

BTW, who's that guy in the picture??? I've never seen that picture before.

I got a fujifilm underwater camera. Can't remember the exact model number but is more than sufficient to get some nice underwater shots. Nothing outrageously great but I've tried it out and not too bad. As for a strobe, the only strobe I know of is what wreckers use :p

I have been using a Nikon Coolpix in an underwater case which I originally bought with a Fantasea Nano flash kit. However the flash does not work well (not enough power to light up objects that are more than a few inches away) so I am looking for a strobe so I can take better pictures.

Typically the flash on the camera itself does not work well as it is too close to the lens and tends to light up the particles in the water, so many use a strobe that can be mounted on an arm and be positioned away from the lens.

This is what I have been looking at:

Ahh....Makes sense!! Well, I give this one a shot next time I go in the boat which is hopefully this weekend! I've tried it in the pool and works great! Guess we'll see :)
