There are some many people here that just blow me away with some of the macro pictures they show here. Sherman, big t, Blazer88 to name a few.
I really wish I had pull the trigger on a digital slr, but I didn't.
A dedicated macro lens is the way to go.
But I've seen and heard people talk about a add-on magnifier lens you can get for some cameras.
 
I have started to think my tank is large and the zoo's are to far away for good macro pics unless I move the colonies.
 
Not one bit. I did use auto sharpen and auto contrast/without color change in the nikon software.

The super novas were going for $25 a polyp at a online store.
 
Score on those Marty! They look way better in your pictures than on the zoa id site or on that other site you showed me. You should send these to zoa id.
Yeah, Marty's pictures really do look like the stuff in his tank. He takes great pains to avoid any touching up.

Martin you have some of the most spectacular zoanthids I have ever seen! I need to make a trip back to your place and do some wheelin and deelin... I want some PPE's let me know if you got some available...

i have those exact same ones as you(finn) got them from JasonD too=)
anyways i wouldnt be surprised if u can get some green to come out of those skirts..i have a nice minicolony that has the same inside color are ur pick.. but instead of a lightbrown/tan skirt there is some green.. it looks nice;) anwyays nice zoos i guess=P (like u ahvent heard that one million thousand bijilion times=))

Wow nice pictures! Those macro shots are awesome. What camera and lens are those taken with?
