I think those are called apple candy reds by the people from RC, I got the same ones.

I looked at both the candy apple reds and the rainbows and they are very similar, but I think these look more like the 5 color rainbows.
Either way I'm pretty happy with them.

Ingenuity is the mother of Invention, they say. Oh wait, Macro lenses have already been invented!! Make sure you post up those pics!! Interested to see how they turn out. Might experiment with actually taping the magnifying glass to the tank.

Those are growing pretty good for you.
I haven't seen them in person. Are they exactly the same as ppe's but without the green mouth?
They are not as big as the PPEs, but their purple centers appear slightly darker. Interestingly, they take on a slightly different look under T5s. The photo is of them under MHs. The main difference, I think, is that when they're under T5s the skirts become longer and more separated.
They definitely do grow well for me... it seems like I have a new one every week in my T5 tank.
