Live Sand between Seattle & Everett

Hi all,

I'm new to the hobby and I have a newly set up tank (40 gallons). Does anyone know where I could obtain a small amount of real live sand, somewhere between Seattle & Everett? I don't have access to a boat so getting my own is not practical...

are you particular about size of grain of sand? or will any do?

Hi Ben! It is so cool to find this forum with people in the Puget Sound area!

Right now I have a half-inch of pretty fine argonite (sp?) from the lfs. I would add new live sand over top. There's nothing else in my tank except live rocks at the moment. I guess medium to small grains and/or a mixture would be good.

It probably isn't a good idea to get sand from the Puget Sound for your tank anyhow. Never know what you might bring into the tank
