lost my buejaw trigger

today my wife found my blue jaw trigger on the floor about 5 feet from the tank. we found him too late he was dried up already he was there this morning when i left for work.He has been in my tank for about 10 months now and i dont know what would cause him to jump. my powder brown is hiding in the rocks now and wont come out. maybe they got into a fight?

Anything could have spooked him and caused him to jump - do you keep any types of screening or lids on your tank? It is always a good think to have a totally enclosed tank (which still allows for air circulation) for the safety of your fishes. No matter how "not jumpy" they are, it can happen to anyone. Clowns jump all the time and people are like "but it wasnt a wrasse or a jawfish, it wasnt a jumper, idk why he did it"

They just get going fast enough, forget where they are, and decide to go for that larger ocean outside the glass!!

That really sucks sorry to hear that. My brother has had pretty bad luck with that latley with a few fish jumping out of his tank in the last month.

Yeah I had the baby blue Niger in the tank and it was doing awesome. But those damn yellow damsels just kept picking on it and eventually it came to the same demise as every other fish that I put in the tank. The curse of the YELLOW BAS&^RDS
