March Meeting

I know they offered a sale, but we don't have to say yes everytime. That said, if one of the BOD is willing to be on the tour from Tacoma all the way up to Bothell....so be it. I know Dave wants to see Salsaboy's tank and God knows Eric wants to show it off while it looks good...so no problem there.

So who's going to run the tour and pick up Dave?

Perhaps whomever is going to be on the tour with maps and such should participate in planning the tour... any takers?

I've listed the people I know about and the schedule was a thought..

I was hoping Mark would be able to pick him up. If not we will figure something out.

FOr whomever is picking him up, his flight is American 7043 and arrives at 10:42am. So, first tour stop should be about noon. Probably only time for a nooon and one or two more; then a social at Dang's and our meeting.

I'm thinking based on the timing that getting to Tacoma, then back to Kent, Jesse's place, then to Kirkland....might be a fast tour. just a thought. You guys started at what, 9 am last time? and had 4 or 5 stops? just my humble input. My vote would be to tell people that Indoor Reef will be hosting a PSAS sale (if that's what they want to do) before the tour and start the tour at Salasboy's place. It's closer to the airport and right near the freeway up to Jesse's place.

I'll update the website to reflect the skimmer as a door prize rather than a raffle and add a summary of the meeting info on the thread in the PSAS forum.

i can pick dave up, as long as my car is fixed by that time, which it better be
i've been breaking down all the tanks and frame work at below sea level for the last week, at this point if i never see another tank again, i'll be o.k. with that:shock:

No we didn't start until 11 I think (god, I cant remember shit anymore) and we were at one place 1/2 hr and then moved on. It worked great.

John Lehigh backed out.

I hope not many speakers always ask for a tour, because it's tiring figuring it out.

We can only do so much for the speakers. We know he wants to see Eric's tank and can arrange that. He'll see Dang's tank too. Beyond that I don't see a need to go out of our way to set up a lot of tanks.

We need an evite for the meetng to go out this weekend. We only have 2 weeks until the meeting.

We should also put a blurb in the evite that says elections are coming and how to nominate (cut and paste from the elections thread in the PSAS forum) for those that don't cruise the forums.

Yeah I plan to get it out this weekend; I just used some of the info on the thread, if you want it beefed up I'll need some extra stuff about what he's talking about.

Well I wont be here to run the tour this time.

SO do you only want to do Salsa, jesseb and dang? That is probably going to be some down time, I think another one needs to be in there. We were clear in Tacoma and made it back to Dang's on time. Shauna volunteered and she's by John's (he cancelled) so I think we should add her before Dangs.

SOmeone give the ok and I'll sketch it out and get messages out to the people and get it posted.

SO Mark are you picking up?

That's fine. I really don't have strong feelings on having a "full tour". This is a courtesy to Dave...nothing more. It's nice that other people get to enjoy, but it's for Dave to go look at tanks. Whatever you think will work best. I doubt I willl make it to anything in south end...too far to drive (maybe salsaboy's place to see his tank, but I doubt it).

Well we need to iron out who is carting him around.... I'm not available. I hate to schedule the tour until we know we have someone available!

That is something we need to work on for the future is coming up with members who is interested in picking up and/or entertaining a speaker until meeting time.

Welllllll Eric said he rather do it next month... uhhh as far as I'm concerned I'm tour scheduled out! So, everyone is cancelling.

All I have confirmed is jesse and Shauna says she can (haven't Pm'd to confirm).

I understand what you say Reed but if we dont plan/have a tour to fill up the time whomever picks him up has to entertain him.

What stores should we perhaps visit? Any?

We have a alot of time to fill up.

Also... in the PM Eric said Paul Hamby told him he might get involved in the club again. Has anyone talked to him?

I think if we start at 2 or 3PM and go to Jesse's place then Shauna's, then off to Dang's everything will be fine. If we really get in a bind I might be able to talk my wife into letting him come over and see my tank and just relax if we need to kill time. I'm sure we can work something.

I know what you mean about burn out....I'm having major difficulty getting motivated lately...must be the weather and having to repair the roof because of it.

Paul is an asset to the club and should be utlilized to the extent he wants to participate.

Hi guys; sorry to be so long away.

Mark, if your car's not ready yet, I can pick up Dave at the airport. Let me know. I really don't have all day to spend this time but if we need BOD representation on the tour, I'll commit to it. In the last three years I haven't missed very darn many events, so I'll be there if you need me.

Well, all I have for the tour is Jesse and Shauna. Dave's flight comes in at 10:42am so I figure noon for the first stop would work fine:

Noon - Jesse

2pm - Shauna

4pm - Dangs

They could be closer together but people can stand around and gab at each place. Someone needs to print mapquest maps to hand out at each location. I won't be there (I know I'm repeating myself.. )

I'll have the addresses of each stop listed in the evite which will go out tonight. So someone can make maps to hand out from that.

PS It's American Airlines Flight 7043 in at 10:42am.

Hotel is Days Inn on International Blvd right by the Airport. They have a shuttle so no worries once dropped off on Saturday night.
