Marine Aquarium Expo 2011

Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

I was born in Seattle, and raised in most the outskirts, and some of my favorite tourist attractions to this day are the forts on Whidbey Island. Fort Casey and Fort Ebey are definately something that could be added to the list of "must see" atractions. However, I can still have just as much fun hanging over the side of the dock at the Langley Marina to see what's climbing/swimming around under there.:) Brings back the kid in me!

There is also several great view points, beaches, art/culture, wineries/vineyards and other peaceful and relaxing small town attractions on Whidbey.

I wonder if his has been brought up in the PSAS yet. Or maybe the PNWMAS...

Brie, I visited PSAS and someone started a thread there, whom I do not remember.

And I have started a thread at our club site www.pnwmas.org so we got our bases covered here, down south!

Has anyone contacted the Idaho club and/or Montana club? Might be worth sending this to the Utah club as well.

Just my .02...If the pacific northwest region is serious about bring this type of Expo to our neck of the woods someone, some store, or some club/organization really has to take charge of putting together a campaign to make this happen with the chances of not being rewarded for their time and efforts. We need more than a bunch of die hard reefers sounding off on a forum.

Kenmore air with a day trip to the San Juan Island or Victoria BC

Washington ferries to the San Juans or just to ride around the sound.

Hoh Rain Forest

And all the rest of the country does not understand what a real mountain is. A real mountain has snow on it all year long.

Mt Rainer

And I bet I can come up with 20+ more. We that live in this neck of the woods forget what’s in our own back yard.

White water raft trips. Going to the ocean to dig clams. Picking out your own crab from Puget Sound. The fish mongers in the Pike Place market.

Brie, he had things and hr and a half away in HIS list so whatever!

Btw, its taken me 2 hrs to move 5 miles before in cali. At least seattle doesnt have as bad of traffic.

My bad, didn't notice that. Just saw the 30mile-ish ones.

And true dat. Cali traffic is hoorrriiibbbllleee.

I'm in..where do I sign?

getting 1,000 people and space of at least 20,000 sq ft is not a problem..Key Arena or Convention Center could easily accomodate this request..

Mods, do we need a formally petition that we can sign to show to the MAX selection committee OR is our individually replies sufficient enough???

Give me a email and I will talk to people here in Tri-cities. The goal has always been to educate people as a group. PM me and lets see what happens. Thanks Michael for heads up.
Sincerely,
Ed Hahn

I've been sending pm's back and forth, just waiting to see what he would like me to do.

In addition it looks like I didn't even need to ask people to ante up if they would work the event. how many people do you think we'll need to staff the event Kevin? It sure looks like we've got a pretty good start here.

Is someone from the Seattle area starting a sign-up form/e signature thing or do you think it is best to do one for each club?

A few people from PNWMAS have expressed interest in working it also.

I'd like to see what Kevin would like done that way we do it right the first time.

Sorry guys, I was out of town most of the weekend so didn't get a chance to respond.
I've got PM's and e-mails to catch up on and then I'll be back here in a few.

BIG question:
What do you feel has a better chance for success: Summer 2112 or Summer 2011????
