Not sure if this is the correct forum for this topic, but since this deals with clams directly, I figure here is my best bet!
The hubby and I are interested in getting a maxima clam for our tank. We have a 35 gallon hex tank (which we will be upgrading to a 55 gallon rectangular tank within the next two-three weeks). The only inhabitants are live rock, zoos, one clownfish, one bangai cardinal, one rbta, and a few snails and hermits.
My question is what all is involved in caring for a maxima clam? Are they high maintenance, requiring lots of care/attention? What do they eat? What kind of lighting do they require? Etc. If anyone can give me a run-down of clam care for this type, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!
