So...Just for you guys that think I live in Paradise...Listen to this!

Today, a house less than 2 minutes away from me, caught on fire and in the end, the house had burned all the way down to the ground! Where was the fire department you might ask? Well, they came...2 hours later after the call was made! Why did it take them so long on a 21 by 7 island? Oh, yeah...They had to go and ride around the island to find some water to put in the truck to put out the fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only in the Bahamas my friend...Same story has played out many times before...

Yup! Same thing happened a few years ago when the straw market downtown caught on fire and we were watching the whole thing on our local news station and the reporter (who's usually drunk!:lol was running behind the Fireman saying, "Where is the water!" "Where is the water!" The whole place burned down including buisnesses and banks. I think they ended up pumping salt water out of the harbour! The thing that started the fire was because of a lovers quarrel between 2 locals and the boyfriend got mad and lit the place!

LOL...I'll give you a hint at what our Firemen are good at...Playing dominos and cards! That's it. All they do all day is play cards and dominos and when a fire erupts, they have no idea what to do! You're better off just puting it out yourself and saving your minutes on your cell phone if you can ever get a signal!

LOL...This place is good for some things, but then good for nothing on the things that matter. The Bahamas is full of monopolies so you have the worst customer service and "don't care attitudes" than anywhere else. No-body wants to work, but everyone wants to get paid!

Yep! We've got human monkeys swinging from trees that's how primative we are:lol: Naw... A devastating fire here isn't an everyday thing. It is mostly just people lighting bush and it getting out of control or something similar. What happens normally, you can put out yourself so I guess they figure why have trucks with water in it all the time...Never really a rush I guess is their mentality. It wouldn't be too bad of a way of thinking if we had fire hydrants everywhere, but we don't! Can't tell you the last time I saw one honestly...

Yeah we have a few monkeys around here that they call Bahamians, but I'm not one cause bananas make my mouth itch
